  • Airbourne, also known as Eastbourne International Airshow, is a 4-day international air show run every August in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England. The event features Battle of Britain memorial flights and aircraft from the RAF and USAF, among others, and enjoys a long relationship with the Red Arrows display team.

Attracting huge crowds, Eastbourne’s International Airshow boasts a 2 mile flying display line along Eastbourne seafront and regularly features the very best in military and civilian aviation display teams including the Red Arrows, Typhoon and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, plus many more.

Ground displays open 10am – 6pm daily, with flying from lunchtime until approx. 5pm. Watch from prime position on the seafront at the frontline of all the flying action, with a host of trade stands and the huge beach as the ideal location to catch all the flying action. Alternatively reserve your place and avoid the crowds with the Bandstand’s exclusive seating for ticket holders. Excellent, uninterrupted views across the display line.

Started in 1993, the show is run by Eastbourne Borough Council, who claim it contributes to the millions of pounds which tourism bring to the town. A dedicated FM radio station, “Radio Airbourne”, broadcasts on 87.7FM during the event. Tune in for advance information, weather, traffic and car parking reports plus flying commentaries and interviews.

Airbourne 2017 comes to a spectacular close with a firework finale at 10pm on Sunday 20 August 2017.
